Coffee Bean or Starbucks?

By: Michelle Tashjian and Delilah Martin

How do you like your coffee? Coffee bean and Starbucks have been Southern California’s biggest coffee rivals. They each have a unique taste to their coffee. Both offer free wifi services, and seating inside and outside the coffee shops. In a class survey of 26 students, 17 students liked Starbucks over Coffee Bean. The majority of the students liked Starbucks.

Personally, I like Coffee bean over Starbucks because the taste of Starbucks’ coffee is too strong for me. On the other hand, Starbucks does have cheaper prices, leading more customers to purchase coffee from Starbucks. For example, a latte from coffee bean is $3.25 whereas a latte from Starbucks is $2.95, and a frappuccino from coffee bean is $4.40 while a frappuccino from Starbucks is $3.95. Coffee bean has a lighter amount of caffeine and coffee beans in their coffee, so if you are someone who does not like a heavy coffee taste, then Coffee Bean is the place for you. For people who love the taste of stronger caffeine, than Starbucks is the place to go. Different customers have different preferences.

Personally I like Coffee Bean because one they have nice ice and two their drinks are just over the top better. There coffee doesn’t ever taste burnt and personally I feel like Starbucks coffee isn’t that great. Although Starbucks has more of a variety, Coffee Bean is still the best in my opinion. My favorite drink from Coffee Bean is the Iced Hazelnut Coffee because it tastes good, their cups are bigger, and the people are really nice.

To wrap it up, we have one final question: Starbucks or Coffee bean?aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaj
