The invention of Virtual Reality (VR) is a great innovation in computer science. It “uses software to generate realistic images, sounds and other sensations that replicate a real environment (or create an imaginary setting), and simulate a user’s physical vrpresence in this environment, by enabling the user to interact with this space and any objects depicted therein using specialized display screens or projectors and other devices” (Wikipedia). Its most popular use is in game experience. It has made gaming more realistic by using emerging technology like 360 degrees’ video and HoloLens. Many big companies such as; Samsung, Microsoft, Sony, HTC, Google, etc. began to produce VR’s. The uses of VR aren’t only limited to gaming but also the medical and design fields. Architectural engineers can use it to have a more visualized view of different types of buildings while in the designing and building process. In the medical field, VR is used in experiments such as helping to cure Phobia’s and help people walk again. Although the appearance of virtual reality has recently popped up and begun to become more accessible to the public, this technology has opened doors that were once shut. There is no doubt that there will be further advancements to achieve greater discovery and fun! Check out this video to look into some VR technology and all its doing:
